ANAMNESIS starts from Plato’s theory of the same name (also known as Theory of Recollection) stating that “learning is remembering” what was already known when our soul inhabited the world of ideas. In this case, musical discourse is based on some materials with different features that will only be clearly perceived at the end of the piece, so our memory will be the key to rebuild the logic of the discourse and get to know (or remember) what was always there.

ANAMNESIS was premiered by Rhea Quartet on 15th November 2025 at Museo de América Auditorium as part of the XXVII Contemporary Music International Festival COMA’25, organized by Asociación Madrileña de Compositores.
